What’s a Fango?
Fango is Italian slang for dirt. We love Fango. The Fango is a lightweight, aluminum softail designed for all around cross-country mountain biking. It features our patented pivotless Flat-Plate Chainstays and Critically Damped Elastomer Shock for the ultimate in an affordable, reliable, comfortable frame. You will love the Fango.

Why a Softail?
Many riders love the quick, agile performance feel of a hardtail, but are tired of feeling beat up after each ride. They know full-suspension can let you ride more comfortably, in greater control over rough terrain, but don’t like the drawbacks of added weight, increased maintenance, and power robbing bob while climbing, among others. We believe the softail construction is an excellent solution to meet our goals of building an affordable, comfortable, high-performance frame with none of these negative traits.

Why Aluminum?
The bike is affordable—half, or even one-third, of what a Titanium softail of the same weight and travel costs. That’s because it’s constructed of double-butted heat-treated aluminum. Aluminum is the material of choice when it comes to performance bang-for-the-buck, and our softail suspension eliminates the harsh ride of aluminum hardtails. It’s very lightweight too—just 4.4 pounds.

What’s the Secret?
The secret to the Fango’s performance is found in the patented CDE shock absorber and Flat-Plate Chainstays. We developed the chainstays and shock as a way to add comfort and performance, while maintaining the lightweight strength, reliability, and clean aesthetics of the diamond frame configuration. The technologically advanced shock provides progressive travel with damping, and the chainstays contribute vertical compliance for that plush feeling ride.
